After conclusion of the selection process, the data of unsuccessful applicants remain stored for at most six months as evidence of a proper application procedure in accordance with the General Equality Act (AGG).
If we have no suitable position available at the time of the application, but based on the applicant’s profile we are of the opinion that the application could be interesting for other areas or companies of the Faber-Castell Group, we store the application data for six months in our applicant pool so that we can again contact the applicant at a later time. You can object to storage at any time through an email to the personnel department (firstname.lastname@example.org). The basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures.
5. Social Media
Facebook plug-ins (integration through Shariff)
So-called social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of social networks are used on our website, in particular the “Share” button of the provider “Facebook”, whose internet site facebook.com is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Facebook Ireland Limited, Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland is responsible for the German website facebook.de. As a rule the plug-ins are marked with a Facebook logo.
For reasons of data protection, we intentionally decided against directly using plug-ins from social networks on our website. Instead we use the so-called “Shariff” solution. With the assistance of Shariff, you can specify if and when data are transmitted to the operator of the respective social network. If you access our website no data are automatically transmitted to Facebook. Only if you actively click on the respective button will your internet browser create a connection to the server of the social network, i.e. with the click on the respective button (“Share”) you consent to your internet browser creating a connection to the server of the social network and usage data is transmitted to the respective operator of the social network.
We have no influence on the nature and scope of the data then collected by the social networks. Please refer to the data protection notices of Facebook found under the below link for the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the respective social network, as well as for information on your rights and setting options for protection of your privacy: http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ and http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=186325668085084
On our website we use the social plug-ins of the social network Pinterest, operated by Pinterest Inc., 808 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103-490, USA ("Pinterest").
When you access a website that contains such a plug-in, your browser creates a direct connection to the Pinterest server. The plug-in transmits protocol data to the Pinterest server in the USA. This protocol data may contain your IP address, the address of the visited websites that also contain Pinterest functions, the nature and settings of the browser, the date and time of the enquiry, your manner of use of Pinterest as well as cookies.
Further information on the purpose, scope and further processing and use of data by Pinterest as well as your rights and options for protection of your privacy can be found in the data protection notices of Pinterest: https://policy.pinterest.com/en-gb/privacy-policy
6. Analysis tools and advertising
This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information provided by the cookie on your use of this website are, as a rule, transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The storage of Google Analytics cookies is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in an analysis of user behaviour in order to both optimise its website offer as well as its advertising.
We have activated the function IP anonymisation on this website. Therein your IP address is shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission in the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to analyse your use of the website for the purpose of preparing reports on website activities and in order to provide further services associated with the use of the website and of the internet for the website operator. The IP address transmitted to Google Analytics from your browser is not combined with other data from Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies through an appropriate adjustment to your browser software; however we inform you that in this case, you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data on your use of the website provided by the cookie (including your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of these data by Google in that you download and install the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out-cookie is set which prevents the collection of your data upon future visits to this website: Google Analytics deactivate.
More information on the handling of user data by Google Analytics can be found in the Data Protection Declaration of Google: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
Information on the surfing behaviour of the website visitor on this website is collected and stored in an anonymous form through the technologies of Google Inc. These data are stored on your computer with the assistance of so-called "cookie" text files. Google Inc. analyses the surfing behaviour by means of an algorithm and can thereafter show targeted personalised advertising banners or advertisements on other websites (so-called publisher). In no event can this data be used to personally identify the visitor to this website. The collected data are used only to improve the offer. Another use or disclosure to third parties does not occur. You can object to the completely anonymous analysis of your surfing behaviour on this website by clicking on the following links for implementation: Website for deactivation of Google advertising.
Contract data processing
We have concluded a contract for data processing with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of German data protection authorities in our use of Google Analytics.
Demographic features of Google Analytics
This website uses the function “Demographic features” of Google Analytics. Therein reports can be produced that contain statements as to age, sex and interests of the website visitor. These data originate from interest-related advertising of Google as well as from visitor data from third-party providers. These data cannot be attributed to specific persons. You can deactivate this function at any time via the display settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in “Objection to data collection”.
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address as well as information that permits us to check if you are the owner of the specified email address and consent to the receipt of the newsletter. We use the so-called double-opt-in-process. This means at first we send a welcome email with a confirmation link to the email address specified by you. Only when you have confirmed the newsletter subscription by clicking the confirmation link do we assume your consent. The consent is recorded; it can be accessed and revoked at any time. Additional data are not collected or are collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data only for sending the requested information and do not disclose the information to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form is done exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to storage of the data and email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time. You will find a link in every newsletter with which you can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter. The lawfulness of the already performed data processing transactions is not affected by the revocation.
Upon registering for the newsletter and with your consent, your email address will be used for our own marketing purposes. If you have granted us your consent to use, process and transmit your personal data for sending the newsletter or for other marketing purposes, you can revoke your consent at any time with a future effect without complying with a specified form or period. In addition you can – if we use your data, for example, for postal marketing measures within the framework permitted by law – revoke this use. Furthermore, at all times you have the right to information free of charge on your data stored by us as well as, if applicable, a right to rectification, blocking and erasure of this data.
The data stored with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter are stored by us until you leave the newsletter and are deleted after cancelling the newsletter.
8. Plug-ins and tools
Use of Vimeo plug-ins
We use the provider Vimeo for the integration of videos and other matters. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC with its headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011.
We use plug-ins of the provider Vimeo in some of our websites. If you access one of our websites equipped with such a plug-in – for example our Mediathek –, a connection to the Vimeo server is created and the plug-in is shown. The Vimeo server is informed which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged on as a member of Vimeo, this information will be allocated to your personal user account by Vimeo. Upon using the plug-in, as for example by clicking the start button of a video, this information is also allocated to your user account. You can prevent this allocation by signing out of your Vimeo user account and deleting the corresponding cookies of Vimeo prior to the use of our website.
Further information on data processing and notices on data protection from Vimeo can be found at https://vimeo.com/privacy .
